Also during this term we will be learning all about 'Dinosaurs'.
We will be finding out about where they lived, what they ate, what they looked like etc. and will be using all this information to make our own 'Dinosaur Books'. We will be going on a 'Dinosaur Hunt' around the school and on a 'Dinosaur Expedition' to Jersey Park.
We will be making dinosaur models out of a variety of materials and also composing and playing our own dinosaur music.

P.E. will be on Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning, children will require a bag containing T-shirt, shorts and gym shoes. As with school uniform please make sure your child's name is on all items of clothing.

During this term we will be spending time outside in our 'outdoor classroom' and Early Years' garden to enhance the children's development within our curriculum. Children will need to have a pair of wellington boots in school at all times , so that we can go outside in all weathers. Again please make sure your child's name is on them. Also we will be going out and about our local community
on 'Wellie Wednesday' as usual.

Towards the end of this term Welsh artist Nina Morgan is visiting our classroom to work on a project with the children. When she is working with the children we will invite you to come into school and see them at work and to meet Nina.

We are hoping to have baby chicks again this year. Last year they were a great success and the children learnt so much by having them in the classroom. It was a wonderful learning experience for both staff and children.

Please can you ensure your child has a reading folder/ book bag as the ORT reading books will be going home this week. In addition there will be C.A.P.E.R. books available for the children to take home and read every Monday.

As you can see we have a very busy term ahead of us.
Thanking you for your continued support,

Mrs Stokes
