Nursery Information

 

This term our main theme is ‘ourselves’. Within this theme we will be looking at touch, taste and smell senses, names of body parts, family, Harvest festival and seasons. We will be visiting a park to develop our understanding of seasons further.

 

In maths we will be working on recognising numbers to 10, exploring capacity and volume, repeating patterns, shapes and the passing of time.

 

Children are invited to bring 20p to school each day to buy some fruit from our fruit tuck shop. All children are also offered milk every day.

 

Monday is our C.A.P.E.R day. The children will have the opportunity to select a storybook to take home and return by Friday.

 

Every child will have the opportunity to take home a ‘story sack’. A story sack includes a storybook with necessary visual aids to support the story. Story sacks will be taken home daily by the class and need to be returned the following day so that the next child can have their turn.

 

Our P.E sessions are on Monday and Wednesday. During this session the children will work on apparatus in the hall. Please ensure that your child wears appropriate clothing to school i.e. trainers, tee shirt, shorts or tracksuit.

 

Can I remind everyone that jewellery is not to be worn to school, particularly on P.E days as it can get caught in apparatus.

 

Could all children wear suitable clothing to school everyday, particularly footwear and coats, as we will be using the outdoor area daily and in all weathers.
